Our Artists

Will Lima

(b. 1984, Belo Horizonte, Brazil)

Will Lima is a visual artist whose practice merges geometric abstraction, African diasporic symbolism, and Afrofuturist imagination. Self-taught, Lima draws on technical drawing, CAD, and graphic design to construct paintings and objects that collapse linear time and propose new cartographies of Black existence. Informed by Afro-Brazilian, African, and Indigenous philosophies, his work engages ancestry, memory, and spatial poetics as acts of resistance and reclamation. Lima has exhibited widely across Brazil, including solo exhibitions at SESI Uberaba, Galeria Hogar, and Casa Fiat de Cultura, and is represented by Paulo Darze Gallery. He lives and works in Belo Horizonte.

(b. 1954, Ilhéus, Bahia, Brazil)
